In true laid-back Florida style, we welcome you to make yourself at home. You won’t find servers here. Instead, pick your favorite table or couch to sit back and enjoy 180-degree water views, grab cocktails from the bar, and order food at the window. But don’t be misled by the casual setting, the food here is taken seriously.
Our goal since opening last year has been to deliver fresh local seafood, handcrafted cocktails, and amazing waterfront views with a smile and southern hospitality. We’re honored to be the restaurant named by locals as the ‘Best Outdoor Dining’ and ‘Best Place to Have Cocktails’ in the coveted 2023 Best in Destin awards. Thank you!
Live music & events
Skybar is our adults-only rooftop harborside bar located directly above the seafood restaurant. Open daily starting at 11am, it is home to many special events, celebrations, and live music. Enjoy Happy Hour specials on cocktails and small plates every night from 4-6pm. Did we mention the view?
THE EDGE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT
Featuring a modern take on authentic Floridian cuisine, our restaurant menu uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, including fish from our local commercial fishermen and produce from local farms located right here in Northwest Florida. Our fare is inspired by old-school Florida fish houses but with a more upscale, still casual vibe.
What’s in a name?
As descendants of Destin fisherman, the owners drew their inspiration for the seafood restaurant’s name from Destin waters themselves, or rather from what lies beneath them. The underwater topography of Destin’s coast is what sets the city apart from other destinations. The relatively shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico drastically drop off at a spot a mere 12 miles from shore along the famed 100-fathom curve offering quick access to the deepest depths of the Gulf and providing nearly unlimited access to the freshest seafood. This popular local fishing spot is what makes fishing in Destin special, and is one of the reasons Destin is known as “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”. It is known as “The Edge”.
When the sun begins its descent across the horizon, head up above the restaurant to the SkyBar, our adults-only rooftop harborside bar, and enjoy a few of our signature cocktails and sample food from our Small Plates, shareable dishes expertly crafted by our chef, while taking in breathtaking panoramic water views as the sun sets over the horizon. The party continues after dark when we light up the fire pit on the upper deck and turn on the underwater lights below.
The atmosphere at The Edge is as special as our food
The downstairs dining deck of the restaurant offers plenty of seating right in the heart of the action on the edge of the Destin Harbor Boardwalk, with excellent opportunities for both sightseeing and people watching all day long. Unlike most “waterfront” restaurants, The Edge was built directly on top of the water, providing covered outdoor seating with panoramic waterfront views from every seat in the house. Don’t be surprised to see dolphins playing next to your chair, boats pulling up by your table, or children feeding the fish off the docks.
